How talented is this tiny island! Thanks to our fabulous contributors who shared their news, views, and writing talents! Please support our sponsor Bay Island Transport for their magnificent longstanding support of this newspaper. Darren & Louise Gearing, we love your community spirit!

Thank you to each of our advertisers for your community focus. We grow businesses and we love having you on board.  Huge thanks to Craig Carter (Coochie Contractors), Matt Bufalino (Bufalino Builders), Kevin McCarthy (Coochiemudlo Island Beach Bar), and Steven Shelley, Shelley Contracting, for booking 12 months of ads! Awesome support lads! Thanks to each and every advertiser in CIN, and the businesses allowing us to distribute CIN on their premises. We love you!  BIG THANKS to subeditor Helen Symes for her fast professional work. And thank you dear readers – without you reading, there would be no reason to have a paper.

Super fab news and articles this month! Brahminy kite on page 1 stuck in a crab pot… 3 tips to make relationships last … 3-wheeled electric trike replaces Council car on the island…  more art talent …update on security cameras at Vic Point carpark …Flinders Day fun… health matters, Coochie Rock painters… fishing tips… 5 things you can do from your kitchen door on a boat that you’d never do on land … and all your favourites are back also!

Thanks for supporting Coochie Island News. It means a lot to this community.

Last but not least: Get jabbed. Make lockdowns a thing of the past – do your bit to help Australia push past 80% of the population having had BOTH doses of the vaccine.

Have a lovely weekend! Here’s hoping for end to lockdown on Sunday for Brisbane, and our hearts go out to Melbourne and especially Sydney. We hope reading CIN provides some valuable distraction. Be safe and well,

Rachael xx
